We did our best to cover the basics of Bitcoin in our New to Bitcoin series, but no explanation is perfect, and it’s likely that some of the resources below will speak more to you than what we wrote. The following are organized by type, and each type’s list starts with the most simple, and then gets more complex (according to our subjective opinions).

Bitcoin Node Tutorials
As was briefly explained in An Introduction to Bitcoin and How to Use Bitcoin, nodes are computers that hold a copy of every on-chain bitcoin transaction, and enforce all of Bitcoin’s rules. Running your own node can help with privacy, but it’s most important for verifying that all your bitcoin is real, so you don’t have to trust anyone with the current state of the Timechain, and who owns what coins (UTXOs).
Here are three different kinds of nodes you may want to look into, and learn how to run yourself. When you do, then you can echo these words from Hal Finney, which were the first words about Bitcoin ever posted on social media:

Bitcoin Mining Tutorials
If you want to mine bitcoin, it’s important to understand that it’s not as glamorous as it might sound, and unless you have access to free or very cheap electricity, it may not be worth it to mine bitcoin.
